Youth Grant Application Form

Guidelines for Requests

  • Grant application opens on November 1, 2026
  • Grant application closes on May 31, 2027
    Grant funding must be spent and project completed by December 31, 2027
  • If grant funding is received, your organization is required to present a program about your project to the Nevada Kiwanis Club upon its completion

The Nevada Kiwanis Club is committed to allocating resources for projects to serve the youth of Nevada.  Requests should address one or more of the following objectives:

  • Support strong, stable families and provide solid beginnings for children and youth
  • Encourage physical activities that promote healthy living in our youth and provide the opportunity for all children, especially low income, to participate
  • Provide access to performances and art events for all children
  • Strengthen the nonprofit sector by supporting nonproject organizations, promote philanthropy, and encourage civic involvement that supports youth
  • Serve as a catalyst in collaborative efforts for better serving the youth of Nevada
  • Scholarships or funding that provides low income youth equal actress to services and activities
  • Must directly benefit children and youth
  • Facility improvements which directly serve children and youth

The Nevada Kiwanis Grant Committee generally will not consider funding requests for:

  • ongoing salaries
  • repayment of debt
  • allocations for individuals
  • sectarian religious programs
  • project not serving residents for Nevada
  • festivals and event
  • meals and beverages
  • prizes and awards
  • for-profit organizations
  • endowment campaigns
  • erganizations that discriminate

Evaluations will include:

  • Does the request meet one or more of our guidelines?
  • Will the funding be spent and the project completed by December 31, 2027?
  • Is the project sustainable?
  • Is this project likely to be funded elsewhere?
  • Is the application packet complete with the four required items (grant summary, detailed project budget, project timeline, and project completion persons, and current board member lists)?
